NRA Training + CCW Quals

I if you want in-depth NRA-certified training or you want to become an NRA instructor yourself, Bayprofs is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) organization which teaches throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. In addition to NRA training, Bayprofs is also an approved CCW vendor for many Bay Area counties and cities. Beginner’s classes run for 8-10 hours including range time.

Advanced Firearms Training + CCW Quals

Saber Tactics teaches both civilians and law enforcement. Civilian classes are available for any legal firearms owner who wants to learn how to use a gun for self-defense. Basic to advanced courses are available for pistol, rifle, and shotgun.

Multiple POST certified courses are available for law enforcement only. The course listing is here.

NSSF First Shots Training

For safe, but abbreviated beginner training, Seacliff Partners offers multiple options for individual or group instruction based on the NSSF First Shots curriculum. Students with little to no firearms experience will first receive off-range training at their home, office (if a company-sanctioned event), or other approved venue from a licensed and insured Seacliff Partners instructor using interactive laser pistols and targets. Students will receive eye and hearing protection (eyes and ears) and a detailed lesson booklet, which they are welcome to keep.

Students will receive:

  • An educational introduction to the safe and recreational use of firearms.
  • A clear understanding of the local requirements for owning and purchasing a firearm.
  • A rundown of shooting sports opportunities for all levels of interest.

Students who have already received firearms training and can demonstrate the safe use of firearms can be taught more advanced skills by a Seacliff Partners instructor at your choice of Reed’s Indoor Range or the San Leandro Rifle and Pistol range. Firearms and targets will be provided, but range fees and ammunition are the responsibility of the student.

This page details the reasons why an individual cannot legally own a firearm in the United States. If you fall under any of these categories, then we are prohibited from training you.

  • A First Shots session and one hour at the range is $250 for the first student + $100 per additional student up to 4, plus ammunition and range fees.
  • Range instruction only is $125/hour per student plus ammunition and range fees. Family discounts are available.
All students must have eye and hearing protection suitable for use with firearms. You may purchase these at Reed’s the day of your training, or in advance either online or at sporting goods stores.
